Areas of active research

  • Mathematics placement and AIG access. Follow-on work to the 2011 tracking study, looking at how NC's 2018 Math Access Policy has reshaped which students land in advanced mathematics.

  • Community-college leadership & student outcomes. Collaborative work with Dr. Carol Cutler White and the Community College Advocacy Lab.

  • SEL and CASEL-aligned evaluation. Instrument development and longitudinal measurement of social-emotional learning outcomes in grant-funded K-12 programs.
